Casting

Walnut Street Theatre is dedicated to the casting and employment of local Philadelphia-based talent. Auditions for each Mainstage and Studio production begins locally and are by appointment only. We also manage and participate in the Greater Philadelphia Annual Auditions. www.phillyannualauditions.org. A required Seasonal EPA will be held in town after the announcement of our season each spring.

Non-local talent can be seen for our Mainstage productions in New York City during our EPAs and Chorus Calls. These are announced on Backstage and the Actor's Equity website throughout the year. All other New York auditions are by agent appointment only.

Brooke Wyeth: CAST.

Trip Wyeth: 30, the baby of the family as Brooke's younger brother. Smart and funny typical California "dude". A successful producer of a reality TV show. Constantly absorbs the burden of his aging parents and Brooke's inabilities.

Polly Wyeth: Brooke's mother. Mid to late 60s woman, but looks great. Leading lady. Elegant, forthright, whip-smart, vibrant, very funny and tough. A force to be reckoned with. Lifelong Republican and proud of it.

Lyman Wyeth: Brooke's father and handsome husband to Polly. He is a sturdy older man and an old movie star.

Silda: Polly's deteriorating sister. A noticeably disheveled woman who has lost her power and voice as a member of the family because of her addiction to alcohol.
