The mission for Walnut Street Theatre's Education Programs is: to build audiences for tomorrow, to educate audiences of today, to enrich the community, to provide an outlet for at-risk children, to enrich the lives of children, to bring the arts to schools, to encourage arts-in-education and to nurture growing theatre artists.
Walnut Street Theatre believes that theatre is a profound tool for creating connections. Students learn to connect with their curriculum, their peers, their communities and their inner-selves. Theate creates bridges between the world of the student and uncharted worlds which students may explore in new ways. Above all we strive to create new opportunities for success for our students and to increase self confidence, strengthen collaborative skills, improve learning, and expand an individual's world-view.

Camp Walnut
This dynamic theatre training program offers an exciting summer learning environment for campers aged 8 – 18.
Touring Outreach Company
Walnut Street Theatre's multicultural Touring Outreach Company brings live professional theatre, workshops and residencies to schools and students in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware.

American Sign Language Interpretation
Walnut Street Theatre is committed to providing access to all audiences. Performances of each of our Children's Shows and our Mainstage Musicals are offered with American Sign Language Interpretation. Look for the letters "ASL" next to performance times on the show pages.
TEAM Walnut
Theatre Education Artist Match connects Walnut Street Theatre teaching artists to classrooms and boardrooms all over the tri-state area. These partnerships include artist residencies at area schools and community centers, professional development programs for educators, and teambuilding initiatives for corporations.
