Brian Kurtas is the Walnut's Associate Artistic Director and oversees the casting of all productions. He has been associated with the Walnut Street Theatre since 2007 and began his career here as a performer and in the professional apprenticeship program. His vision behind unforgettable live experiences and storytelling has become a creative solution from the stage to the screen. He has cast over 75 productions at the Walnut and spent 4 seasons as the Executive Producer at Gretna Theatre. Brian casts talent across a broad spectrum of media including theatre, TV/film, commercials, and live events for companies including T-Mobile, Heineken, Walmart, Sony Ericsson, and The National Museum of American Jewish History. He is a proud member of the Casting Society of America, and remains dedicated to bringing artists together and developing their skills.
