Based on the classic Aesop's fable, The Boy Who Cried Wolf, this honest, funny and engaging production looks at stretching truths and accepting differences.

An Honest Look At Why It Is So Hard To Be A Kid

When did it get so hard to be a kid? Only 13 tells the story of Phoebe—a 13-year-old with no friends, a Dad who doesn't get her, and all the wrong clothes. The kids at school use taunts and cyber-bullying until Phoebe contemplates suicide. Only with the help of a little magic does Phoebe come to value herself and learn that her life matters. This thoughtful and provocative play met with great acclaim in our 2011-12 season and will make students think about the way they treat others and come to see that everybody in their school matters and deserves their respect.

Kennedy, Malcolm X and others. As they retrace the difficult and finally triumphant road to freedom, your own students will be moved by the events they will witness on this Freedom Ride.
