Based on the beloved Hans Christian Andersen story and the classic film, Disney's The Little Mermaid is a hauntingly beautiful story of love and letting go. Ariel, King Triton's youngest daughter, challenges her father’s authority as she dreams of finding her own way in the world above the sea. But what will she give up to fulfill her dreams of independence? Disney’s The Little Mermaid will capture your heart with its timeless story and irresistible songs, including "Under the Sea," "Kiss the Girl" and "Part of Your World." Disney’s The Little Mermaid promises to be one of the most spectacular productions ever staged at the Walnut!

ALL AGES INCLUDING CHILDREN ARE WELCOME UNDER THE SEA!

Did you know that children under 12 who are not vaccinated can show a negative COVID-19 test at the door. Rapid tests, Like Abbott’s Binax Now, are available at local drugstores and online for under $25 for two tests. These tests are simple to use at home and provide results in 15 minutes.


Current Vaccination and Mask Requirements

For all performances of The Little Mermaid:

  • VACCINATIONS REQUIRED:
    • All guests ages 5+ must be fully vaccinated to enter the theatre and must present digital or physical proof at the door.
    • Children under the age of 5 and people with a medical condition or closely held religious belief that prevents vaccination may show proof of a negative COVID-19 test.
  • MASKS REQUIRED:
    • Everyone in the theatre must wear acceptable face coverings at all times, including during the show, except while eating or drinking when seated in Barrymore’s Cafe, located in the lower lobby. Only fully vaccinated guests who show proof at the cafe can purchase or consume food and drinks. All face coverings must cover the nose and mouth and comply with the CDC guidelines for acceptable face coverings.
  • PHOTO ID:
    • Guests ages 18 and older must present a valid government-issued photo ID.
    • Guests under 18 may show a school photo ID.
    • Guests under 12 must be accompanied by an adult who meets the above requirements.
  • Guests who do not comply with these policies will be denied entry or asked to leave the theatre.

Performances starting after February 28, 2022: Policies will be announced at a later date.

Buy tickets for any performance through December 31, 2021, and you can exchange your tickets for free into same-priced tickets to any other mainstage production this season until two hours before your original performance. Certain performances of new productions may be excluded.
