Matthew is thrilled to be joining the team at America’s oldest theatre. Before joining the Walnut, Matthew spent three seasons as Director of Production at Second Stage Theater. While there, he led numerous Broadway and Off-Broadway productions, including the Tony award winning revival of Appropriate by Brandon Jacobs-Jenkins and the world premiere of Mother Play by Paula Vogel. Prior to that, he spent two wonderful seasons at Arden Theatre Company, and seven seasons at Bucks County Playhouse, the latter serving as Director of Production and Facilities. During his time at BCP, Matthew helped expand the operations to include a full year’s calendar of productions and presentations, as well as the construction of the attached restaurant, The Deck. He holds an MFA in sound design from Ohio University and a BA in theater from Allentown College (now known as DeSales University).
Matthew resides in Plumstead Township, PA where he currently serves as the Chair of the Township Board of Supervisors. All of this and so much more is made possible by the love and support of his wife, Katie and their two beautiful daughters, Gracie and Bridget.
