WALNUT STREET THEATRE NAMES TANYA RULEY-MAYO AND DANIEL SCHULLER TO ITS BOARD OF TRUSTEES

PHILADELPHIA, PA – Sept 17, 2020 – The Walnut Street Theatre, America’s Oldest Theatre, has welcomed two new passionate supporters of theatre to its Board of Trustees, announced Board Chair Scott Rankin. They include Tanya Ruley-Mayo, chief executive officer at Independence Charter School and a longtime education advocate, and Daniel Schuller, executive vice president of Essential Utilities, Inc. and an active volunteer for many community organizations.

“It is vital our board continue to attract trustees with various expertise. I am delighted we have found such talented members in Tanya and Daniel, and welcome them to our board of trustees,” said Rankin. “As stewards of this historic organization, we support Producing Artistic Director Bernard Havard’s vision, which includes providing vital educational programs to our community virtually, the exciting expansion of our facility, and to September 2021, when we can begin our postponed season and again create the plays and musicals our audiences cherish.”

Ruley-Mayo and Schuller join a prestigious group of philanthropic leaders on the Walnut Street Theatre Board, including President Bernard Havard, Chair Scott Rankin, Immediate Past Chair Richard A. Mitchell, Chairman Emeriti Louis W. Fryman, Matthew Garfield and John D. Graham, Vice Chair & Secretary Ramona Gwynn, Vice Chair Francis J. Mirabello, Treasurer Robert L.B.
