Drucie McDaniel recently completed the world premiere and Barrymore-nominated Skin and Bone at Azuka Theatre; last season she appeared in Profiles at PlayPenn’s New Play Festival, in Lantern’s extension of Beauty Queen of Leenane, and 1812’s Barrymore nominated It’s My Party: The Women and Comedy Project. Other appearances include New City Stage, The Wilma, InterAct, Delaware Theatre Company, Women’s Theatre Ensemble, The Abbey Theatre (Dublin, Ireland) and Walnut Street Theatre. Film: Girl Interrupted, Fallen, Twelve Monkeys, Explicit Ills, The Narrows, Rounding First, Edge City, and the forthcoming Unreachable by Conventional Means. Television: Law and Order and L&O SVU, HBO’s You Don’t Know Jack, The Onion News Network, The Adversaries, and All My Children, as well as several national commercials. Her voice can be heard internationally in educational videos. Drucie has also directed for TV (PBS and Nickelodeon), industrial and documentary film (US Dept of Defense, Dept. of Energy, Ski Industries America, AT&T) and music videos. For ten years, as Artistic Director for The Philadelphia Theatre Caravan, Drucie wrote and/or directed over thirty productions for national tour. Other stage direction includes Walnut Street, The Smithsonian Institution, National Constitution Center, Theatre Ariel, Project Arts Center in Dublin, Ireland, and The Rosenbach Museum. Her teaching credits include Professor of Acting at Arcadia University, Burlington County College, MikeLemon Casting, 25 years at the University of the Arts, and is one of the longest-running teachers here at Walnut Street! Drucie sings and plays multiple instruments with her Irish Band, The Connemara Codfish Company. Becoming Molly Bloom at The Rosenbach every June 16th is always a highlight of her year.
