Must have excellent people, organization, and computer skills. Position starts immediately, through May 5, 2024. This position requires a 6 day a week schedule.

Walnut Street Theatre is seeking a Development Associate to join our Development team. The Development Associate will support the department in event planning, stewardship of major donors, and additional tasks integral to Walnut Street Theatre’s fundraising efforts.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Assisting in the planning and implementation of Donor, Board, and Fundraising events
• Prospect research
• Accounting of donations and data entry
• Attending Opening Night performances and, in conjunction with members of the Development team, distributing VIP tickets and assisting patrons
• Individual cultivation and solicitation for Walnut Street Theatre’s Angels Campaign and Capital Campaign
• Assisting major donors with ticket exchanges, purchases, and other needs
• Representing the Walnut Street Theatre both internally and externally
• A candidate with event planning experience who is comfortable managing CRM systems and Microsoft Office. Experience with auctions/galas a plus)
Qualifications:
• Minimum of 1-2 years of Development experience
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and produce high quality results
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
• Must be organized and detail oriented
• Must work comfortably in a team environment

The Walnut Street Theatre in Philadelphia seeks applicants for the position of Stage Manager (non-AEA) for WST for Kids production of A Christmas Carol. Rehearsals/tech will occur from November 17th – December 1st (full days and over weekends, one day off per week). Performances (9 total) December 2nd through the 17th, Fridays and weekends with one Wednesday matinee. Applicants should have experience working in an educational setting with student performers and teching large scale shows. Performances occur on the Walnut Mainstage; experience with an IATSE crew is helpful but not required. Positions pays a fee of $2,000.

This position reports to the Director of Development in a department raising over $1.5M annually from foundations, corporate partners, and individual donors in support of the theatre’s overall operations and its vibrant arts education programs.
Responsibilities include co-supervising the department staff, solicitation, cultivation and stewardship efforts, management of the Annual Angels Fund campaign which includes tele-funding, co-execution of annual fall fundraiser and annual gala, including solicitation of corporate/individual sponsorships, oversight of corporate entertainment opportunities, support for Board and Board Committee meetings, and assisting with institutional development strategy.
The ideal candidate shall have strong office operations experience, experience with wealth screening software and prospect research, grant writing skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems, ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and produce high quality results with strong written and verbal communication skills and a passion for the arts.
