Opening the 1934-35 season was Howard Lindsay's farce,
She Loves Me Not.
The show, starring Polly Walters (left) and Charles D. Brown, had a successful
run on Broadway the previous year. The production marked director Joshua Logan's
professional debut. Logan went on to direct such memorable Broadway shows as
Annie Get Your Gun, Mister Roberts and
South Pacific.
