1956
Many productions in the 1956-57 season were opportunities for Hollywood
stars to take a break from their film and television careers and return to
the stage. Oscar-winning actress Shelley Winters starred in N. Richard Nash's play
The Girls of Summer. Winters is best known for her film roles in
A Place in the Sun, The Diary of Anne Frank and
The Poseidon Adventure.
